Color Grading & Sound Enhancement

This video contains 2 techniques that are vital to the editing process: sound enhancement and color grading. The first clip is a video I filmed of a band back in 2024; the second clip is the same, but with enhanced sound. I used the ducking feature in the effects controls page to increase the overall volume and tweak other settings to make things like the vocals stand out more. For the color grading example, I took two versions of the same clip, layered them on top of each other, then split the top version 50% using the crop feature. This allows the viewer and me to see the differences in the color grade on a single video rather than multiple videos. When color grading, I went back and forth in the effects control page. Tweaking things like highlights, saturation, blacks, whites, and temperature until I achieved my desired effect.
